Unscripted is operated by Unscripted Technology LLC, 9233 SE Harney Court, Portland, OR 97266. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), if you reside in California you have the rights described below. We honor these rights for all users, regardless of state.
Right to Know
You can see exactly what categories of personal information we collect, how we use it, and how long we keep it. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy. Summary:
- Contact info (email, name)
- Identifiers (user ID; device ID for ads)
- User content (messages, bio, prompt answers)
- Profile characteristics (date of birth, gender; optionally religion and sexual orientation, which you may clear at any time)
- Precise geolocation — sensitive personal information under CPRA §1798.140(ae) (latitude / longitude for distance-based discovery, immediately coarsened; other users only ever see a whole-mile distance)

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information
The only sensitive personal information we collect as defined by CPRA is your device location (and, if you choose to provide them, religion and sexual orientation on your profile). We use them solely to provide the service you signed up for — showing distance and applying the filters you set — which is a permitted purpose under §1798.121(d). We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not sell or share it. You can stop location collection at any time in your device settings, and clear the optional profile fields in the app.
Right to Access & Portability
Request a portable copy of your data at any time:
- Email: privacy@unscripteddating.app from the email address registered to your account. We respond within 30 days with a machine-readable JSON export covering everything we store associated with your account.
- API (for developers):
GET /api/v1/export-datawhile signed in returns the same JSON directly.
Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing
NPA=1) for everyone, regardless of toggle state.
To verify or change the setting at any time: Settings → Safety → Privacy & Data → "Do Not Sell or Share My Info."
Right to Correct
You can edit your profile (name, bio, photos, location, prompts, preferences) directly in the app. For data you can't edit yourself, email privacy@unscripteddating.app.
Right to Delete
Delete your account at any time: Settings → Delete Account in the app, or from the web at unscripteddating.app/delete-account if you don't have the app to hand — the web form emails you a link to confirm. Your account is deactivated immediately and hidden from everyone, then fully retained for a 30-day grace period so you can restore it by logging back in. After the grace period your profile, photos, matches, and messages are permanently deleted, and we keep only the limited records the law requires, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Right to Non-Discrimination
We do not penalize you in any way for exercising any of the above rights. Your discovery, matches, and account stay exactly the same.
